Parlophone put up 22 of Blur’s videos on their YouTube channel here this week. They’re taken from Blur’s Best of DVD.
I watched all of these videos in a row, and I thought it was really interesting to see the band’s progression over the last 10 years (seriously…watch There’s No Other Way and then watch Song 2). I really love what Albarn has done with the Gorillaz. I can’t imagine any other Britpop frontman being able to pull a crossover like that off. I can’t wait to see what he does next.

Congratulations to Jason’s brother Jeff and Kim who got married on Saturday.
Does anyone else think that when Kim was a little girl, she looked just like Jenny Lewis(circa Troop Beverly Hills)?
And speaking of Jenny Lewis, she has a new album coming out on September 9. The album will be called “Acid Tongue“. On the album she performs a duet with Elvis Costello and collaborated with Zooey Deschanel (of She & Him).

You Ain’t No Picasso has Spiritualized performing a beautiful cover of Daniel Johnston’s “True Love Will Find You in the End” here.
The BBC reports that Ian Curtis’s gravestone was stolen. It had the inscription “Ian Curtis 18 - 5 - 80″ and the words “Love Will Tear Us Apart”.

Lily Allen posted a new song on her My Space this week entitled “Who’d of Known”. Listen. I have such a thing for pink hair.
Duffy was interviewed on NPR’s World Cafe and performed a couple of songs here. Bernard Butler (former guitarist of Suede) produced the album. Forget about Amy Winehouse.
Scarlett Johansson covered The Cure’s “Boy’s Don’t Cry”here. It feels kind of soulless.
Radiohead just released their video for “House of Cards“. Absolutely beautiful.
…no cameras or lights were used. Instead, 3D plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data.
Watch how they made the video. Its not something that I understand, but its pretty damn cool.

Cibo Mattowas my favorite band about 10 years ago. I can’t believe I never saw their video for “Sugar Water”. Although, I did catch their performance on Buffy.
This video is pretty cool…
If you’re wondering how they did it, they explain it here.
Quinton showed me a pretty weird/funny video done by two girls to Daft Punk’s “Harder Better Faster Stronger”.
