Last week we saw Rasputina and My Brightest Diamond. It was awesome seeing Rasputina again. Front woman Melora Creager is so damn funny and quick-witted. They played quite a few of their songs off of their new album, Oh Perilous World.

Melora introduced their new song “1816″ saying, “It used to be that when we wanted to sing about something scary, we sang about vampires. No if we want to be scary, we just sing about the weather.”

Setlist:
1. Hunter’s Kiss
2: Transylvanian Concubine
3. Thimble Island
4. Saline the Salt Lake Queen
5. Things I’m Gonna Do
6. Barracuda
7. Wish You Were Here
8. Oh, Bring Back the Egg Unbroken
9. Draconian Crackdown
10. 1816, The Year Without a Summer
11. Cage in a Cave
12. Baby Got Back
13. Watch T.V.
14. Choose Me for Champion
15. Medley – Old Yellow Cake, A Retinue of Moons, The Infidel is Me

Encore:
16. TrenchMouth
17. If Your Kisses Can’t Hold the Man You Love

The Lady Jeff Buckley opened. She performed without her band. It was just her and an electric guitar. Her voice is amazing (she was trained as an opera singer). Her range gave me goosebumps a couple of times. I think the comparisons are deserving.

Here’s her video for “Disappear“.

Hi there— found your site randomly searching for the set list for the Albuquerque show.

There was one song during that performance where the other cellist (Sarah Bowman, I believe?) did a vocal solo— do you happen to know which song that was?

    Thanks!
