Pitchfork has up an interesting interview with Jarvis Cocker here. His album was released today in the U.S.
Jarvis is never short on wit and interesting observations. They talk about how he came to making a solo album, the chance of Pulp getting back together (not likely), the recent Pulp re-issues, and his domesticated life. Cocker now lives in Paris with his wife, Camille Bidault-Waddington, with whom he has a son, Albert. Cocker hails from Sheffield, England. Sheffield musician Joe Cocker used to babysit Jarvis when he was little, although they’re not related.
Last week Jarvis posted that he’s looking for local opening acts for his North American tour dates. If you’re interested, go here for more information.
