This Is The Last…

I have a confession to make. I like toys. I only want to have kids, so that I can buy better toys. I’ve recently started collecting Uglydolls, Dunnies, Cactus Friends, and Momiji Dolls.

I really want the vinyl Uglydoll “Ice Bat”, he’s so ugly he’s cute. Last time I checked eBay he was selling for $200! These toys retail for $25. I emailed the Uglydoll website, and they said I could try to buy one from their distributor. I called him, but I haven’t heard back from him yet.

There’s this other artist named Yoshitomo Nara. I’m in love with his “Little Wanderer”. She sells for about $100.

My old boss from Music Trader collects too. He’s goes to the release parties. I think he’s made himself broke with his collecting. He’s all into it. That flyer that I posted yesterday was for an Uglydoll convention. It was an art show including Uglydoll-inspired paintings, Uglydoll giclee prints, handmade, one-of-a-kind Uglydolls, exclusive figures, and even a costume contest.

This is my confession…I’m a sucker for Asian pop culture. This will be an expensive habit.
