Earlier this week YANP posted a link of the Lucksmiths doing a cover of my favorite song “There is a Light that Never Goes Out”. I know a lot of people have tried to cover Moz, but these guys did an awesome job. The guy is not Morrissey, but the combination of boy/girl vocals is lovely.
Here you go. Let me know what you think.
Torr had up the link to 2 new songs of the upcoming Jeremy Enigk album. I just got done listening to the songs and they were perfect.

I can’t wait to hear the rest of the songs and see him play live.
I’d wanted to see Joyeux Noël since it came out last year, but never had the chance and waited until it was released on DVD.
During December 1914 in France the German, Scottish, and French forces were fighting each other in trenches less than 50 metres from each other. The soldiers on all sides had grown weary and cold, so their Lieutenants decided to call a ‘cease fire’ for Christmas Eve. I suppose nobody really felt like fighting on Christmas, so the men started to meet one another and they even held a mass.
I thought is was so interesting and awkward how these soldiers and their officers started to speak and develop relationships with each other, despite coming from different backgrounds and languages. They knew some of the same songs and showed each other pictures of their wives and families.
It’s written and directed by Christian Carion and is meant to be based on many true stories of soldiers on the frontlines on Christmas Eve 1914. It stars Daniel Brühl of ‘The Edukators’ and Diane Kruger who played Helen in ‘Troy’.
I really enjoyed this movie and how it skipped languages from German, to English, to French. And Anna and I think the girl in it has pretty much the coolest hair style ever.

I just found this picture and I thought it was really cool.
They dated for a time. Tricky helped Björk on the tracks from Post: “Enjoy” and “Headphones”. She also contributed two singing tracks to Tricky’s Nearly God album, called “Yoga” (no known link to the song ‘Joga’) and “Keep Your Mouth Shut”.
Tricky supposedly went with Björk to Iceland for a while, where he and Goldie had a fight in a club after they dated once about Björk when Goldie was dating her. She got involved in the fight and broke the two up.
Some of my friends went up this week and caught the Sonic Youth performance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. (Lucky jerks).
Here’s the video of their performance. If I squint really hard, I think I can see Eman’s fro.
The show is doing something special, where they’re giving tickets out for their music performances. The artists give mini-concerts. You can get tix here. Next week Jurassic 5 and Flaming Lips will be performing on the show.
