A while ago I posted about Devotchka putting out a new EP entitled “Curse Your Little Heart“. Its coming out May 2nd and they’ll be doing some covers on it.

Someone from their promotions sent me a copy of their cover of Siouxise and the Banshee’s song “Last Beat of My Heart”.

If you like what you hear, you can pick up a copy of the new album here. They totally do the song justice. Just listening to it gives me goosebumps. I’m thinking of a new music genre - Gypsy/Goth, has a nice ring to it.
Jill: The Last Beat Of My Heart (Siouxsie and the Banshees) is one of my favorite songs EVER it makes top 10 in my list. This cover was so good! i really really enjoyed this cover, i already have a spot for DEVOTCHKA and the fact that they cover siouxsie made me jump a little bit. and do somekind of a dorky dance. thanks for this post.
I heard this on NPR last night and did a double-take. I love Siouxsie and really like Devotchka. They did a great job with it, very moving.
