Richard Ashcroft on Regis
April 5th, 2006 . by Jilly![]()
Richard Ashcroft (formerly of the Verve) was just on Regis. Link to the video is here on You Tube. There’s a pretty funny bit after his song, where he’s got some witty banter with Regis. He get’s everyone laughing, he still a skeleton face, but its nice to see that he doesn’t take him self too seriously.
His new song sounds pretty good.
You Tube also has links to 4 of the songs he performed at his NY Webster Hall show…
Sonnet
Space and Time
Lucky Man
Bittersweet Symphony

His new album “Keys to the World” was released in the US March 21, 2006.
This was pretty funny…nothing funnier than two old men hanging to youth by hair strands. Especially when made up slang is involved.
I like where he says, “Regis sing along - you know the words!”.
[...] Richard Ashcroft is one lanky, skeleton face, but I always thought he was hot anyways (I guess I have a thing for tall guys). The Verve always put on a good show. Ashcroft’s solo stuff was no good, so this is good news. [...]
