Serving the Grammy’s a Nice Plate of Sodomy
January 13th, 2006 . by JorgeThe PLUG Awards return February 2, 2006 to the Webster’s Hall in New York City. For those of you unfamiliar PLUG is collection of music lovers from all walks of life - writers, Dj’s, indie retailers, artist, filmmakers, and of course the fans dedicated to give merit where it’s due. Some of the acts scheduled to perform are The Nationals, Celebration and two-time nominee Chad VanGaalen.
In the year 2001 PLUG posted its first online ballot. They waited uncertain that anyone would respond, within weeks thousands replied. Labels began to join in the support by sending their fans links to the ballot. Although they suffered a brief hiatus they’re back in 2006 to acknowledge relevance and revolution rather than dollar signs.
